75:1I swear by the Day of Resurrection.

75:2And I swear by the blaming soul.

75:3Does man think that We will not reassemble his bones?

75:4Yes indeed; We are Able to reconstruct his fingertips.

75:5But man wants to deny what is ahead of him.

75:6He asks, “When is the Day of Resurrection?”

75:7When vision is dazzled.

75:8And the moon is eclipsed.

75:9And the sun and the moon are joined together.

75:10On that Day, man will say, “Where is the escape?”

75:11No indeed! There is no refuge.

75:12To your Lord on that Day is the settlement.

75:13On that Day man will be informed of everything he put forward, and everything he left behind.

75:14And man will be evidence against himself.

75:15Even as he presents his excuses.

75:16Do not wag your tongue with it, to hurry on with it.

75:17Upon Us is its collection and its recitation.

75:18Then, when We have recited it, follow its recitation.

75:19Then upon Us is its explanation.

75:20Alas, you love the fleeting life.

75:21And you disregard the Hereafter.

75:22Faces on that Day will be radiant.

75:23Looking towards their Lord.

75:24And faces on that Day will be gloomy.

75:25Realizing that a back-breaker has befallen them.

75:26Indeed, when it has reached the breast-bones.

75:27And it is said, “Who is the healer?”

75:28And He realizes that it is the parting.

75:29And leg is entwined with leg.

75:30To your Lord on that Day is the drive.

75:31He neither believed nor prayed.

75:32But he denied and turned away.

75:33Then he went to his family, full of pride.

75:34Woe to you; and woe.

75:35Then again: Woe to you; and woe.

75:36Does man think that he will be left without purpose?

75:37Was he not a drop of ejaculated semen?

75:38Then he became a clot. And He created and proportioned?

75:39And made of him the two sexes, the male and the female?

75:40Is He not Able to revive the dead?
