The Big Bang

The Quran hints at the origin of the universe by suggesting that the heavens and the earth were once joined together before God split them apart. This is often interpreted by Muslim scholars as alluding to the Big Bang, which is the scientific explanation for the birth of the universe. Additionally, the Quran speaks of the cosmos continuously expanding, aligning with modern cosmological findings about the expansion of the universe.

Do the disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were one mass, and We tore them apart? And We made from water every living thing. Will they not believe?

We constructed the universe with power, and We are expanding it.
