Provision for Living Creatures

The Quran elaborates on the creation of Earth with specific attention to the providence of sustenance and resources, which are made accessible to all living creatures. This encompasses the idea that the Earth’s resources are bountiful and are meant to be shared equitably among all living beings.

وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ مَّوْزُونٍۢ

We spread the earth, and placed stabilizers in it, and in it We grew all things in proper measure.

وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَٰيِشَ وَمَن لَّسْتُمْ لَهُۥ بِرَٰزِقِينَ

And in it We created livelihoods for you, and for those for whom you are not the providers.

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ

And the earth; He set up for the creatures.
